45.00

 Date:  May 25th, June 1st, and June 15th,  2017

             6-7:30 PM.

This class is intended for the student who has completed a begin to knit class and is ready to move onto a small project.  Two project options are available; you get to choose what you want to create.  Let those of us at Reverie help you with your yarn and needle choices.

  • Skill level: students must be able to cast on, and knit and purl.  In this class, they will learn to follow a pattern and create a gauge swatch.
  • Supplies:  appropriate for the project you choose-

    • Sampler Scarf (The sample project is made with two skeins of Cascade 128.)
      • Approximately 250 yards of chunky weight yarn. A smooth, solid color will show stitch patterns best.
      • US size 10, 10.5 or 11 needles
      • Tapestry needle

Students will learn a variety of new stitches and how to read a pattern with this project, then be the designer as they complete the project

    • Fingerless Mitts (The sample project was made using a remnant of Shepherd’s Wool Worsted yarn.)
      • Approximately 100 yards of worsted weight yarn. A smooth, solid color will show stitch pattern best.
      • US size 7 knitting needles
      • Tapestry needle

Students will learn seaming and how to read and follow a pattern.
